ITHACA, N.Y. – Senior
Molly Quinlan (Fayetteville/Fayetteville-Manlius) scored goals one minute, 33 seconds apart early in the third quarter to lead the Cortland field hockey team to a come-from-behind 2-1 win at Ithaca in non-conference action Wednesday night at Higgins Stadium.

Hannah Burchell (Whitney Point) recorded an assist on the game-winning goal for the Red Dragons (5-1). Senior goalie
Marisa D'Amico (Smithtown/Smithtown West) made two saves.
Samantha Horowitz scored for the Bombers (5-2) with Victoria Sestito collecting an assist. Goalie Savanna Lenker turned aside nine shots, while Allison Egan recorded a defensive save.
Horowitz gave Ithaca a 1-0 lead 12 seconds before halftime when she deflected in a pass from Sestito at the left post. Quinlan wasted little time in tying the game in the second half, blasting a shot past Lenker on a breakaway just 2:53 into the third quarter. Quinlan then tallied the game winner at the 34:26 mark with a reverse-stick shot from the left side of the circle off a pass from Burchell.
