Hello Red Dragons!

We're moving forward towards the fall semester – at times it seems like we have more questions than answers right now, but we are excited to have the students back soon as well as for the opportunity to work with the teams! We are looking at what options we might have for competition (maybe even 'meets by mail'), but after the past few months the chance to be together (well, 6' away from each other), in school and training is very exciting!

For this month's update, we want to look backward. We have two items to share with you that highlight some of the most dominant teams ever in NCAA athletics.

First, Cortland's own legendary sports information director, Fran Elia, found an audiocassette (I know, right?!?) of an NCAA-sponsored radio interview of Coach Jack Daniels and Michelle LaFleur from 1994! You can listen to the interview as it is posted on YouTube. The audio quality is pretty decent, but you may need to turn the volume up a bit.

Second, a small podcast entitled 'D3GloryDays' has been conducting interviews with members of the women's NCAA Championship cross country teams. Their plan is to post three separate episodes; the first two are out now! You can find them through the website link above or wherever you download podcasts.

We've done a lot of 'Throwback Thursdays' on our social media this summer, and always appreciate any photos or other items of interest that you are willing to share with us.
