OSWEGO, N.Y. - The Oswego men's hockey team erased a first-period deficit with goals in the second and third periods to earn a 2-1 win versus Cortland Friday night in SUNYAC action. The Lakers improved to 2-2-1 overall and 2-0-1 in the conference. The Red Dragons fell to 2-2 and 1-2.

Trevor Veneklase (Brentwood, TN/Seahawks Hockey Club) scored a power-play goal for Cortland. Senior

Connor Sleeth and Troy Robillard netted the goals for Oswego. Travis Broughman collected an assist. Goalie Steven Kozikoski made 21 saves.
Veneklase gave the Red Dragons a 1-0 lead at the 11:18 mark of the opening period while Cortland was skating with the man advantage. Sleeth tied the game 7:23 into the second period, and Robillard's unassisted goal at 11:41 of the third period put the Lakers ahead 2-1.
The Red Dragons pulled Durante for an extra skater with 1:23 remaining in regulation and managed three shots on goal, but Kozikoski turned them all away as the Lakers clinched the 2-1 victory.
