CORTLAND, N.Y. – The Cortland men's hockey team scored the last four goals of the game to erase a two-goal deficit and defeated Fredonia, 4-2, Saturday night in SUNYAC action at Alumni Arena. The Red Dragons improved to 7-4-1 overall and 5-2-1 (17 points) in the conference and moved into second place in the league standings. The Blue Devils fell to 4-6-1 and 2-4 (6 points).

Jona Hildreth (Lockport/Walpole Express) each netted a goal for Cortland. Freshman
Domenic Settimo (East Meadow/PAL Junior Islanders) recorded two assists, while senior
Michael Sciore (Syracuse/Buffalo Jr. Sabres), sophomore
Liam Anderson (East York, ON/Pickering Panthers) and freshman
Andrew Clouden (Hamburg/Seacoast Spartans) picked up one assist apiece. Junior goalie
Luca Durante (Brampton, ON/Aurora Tigers) made 35 saves in raising his season record to 7-2-1.
Senior Chandler Judd (Piedmont, SC/Charlotte Rush) scored his first two goals of the year for Fredonia. Senior Ethan Kirbis (Clarence/Buffalo Jr. Sabres) and freshman Ryan Bailey (Anchorage, AK/Boston Jr. Rangers) collected assists. Sophomore goalie Zach Willms (Camrose, AB/Red Lake Miners) turned aside 32 shots.
Judd gave the Blue Devils the lead just 48 seconds into the game, scoring from the top of the right circle after Bailey won a faceoff. Fredonia went ahead, 2-0, 7:14 into the second period when Judd scored on a rebound. Ballagh started the Cortland comeback at 8:09 of the second period with a deflection in front after Clouden possessed the puck inside the blue line and set a pass toward the Fredonia net.
Beaulieu tied the game at 2-2 at the 2:38 mark of the third period. Storjohann stole the puck on the right side of Fredonia's defensive zone and fired a shot at the net that Beaulieu deflected inside the right post. Donegan scored the game winner at 6:08 on another deflection while the Red Dragons had the man advantage. Hildreth made it a 4-2 score with his third goal of the season as the teams were skating three aside. Fredonia pulled Willms with 4:54 remaining while on the power play but the Blue Devils couldn't convert with the two man advantage and eventually took a penalty for too many players on the ice with 3:34 on the clock. After the penalty expired, Willms was pulled with 1:29 remaining but Cortland held on for the 4-2 victory.
