NEW PALTZ, N.Y. – Senior 
Hannah Lorenzen (Stony Brook/Ward Melville) tallied a game-high eight points on five goals and three assists to lead the nationally 17th-ranked Cortland women's lacrosse team to a 16-9 win at New Paltz in SUNYAC East action Saturday afternoon. With her eight points, Lorenzen became with 48th player in program history to reach 100 career points and now has 103 on 78 goals and 25 assists.
 
The Red Dragons improved to 9-1 overall and 7-0 in their division, and, as the top seed, will host second-seeded Geneseo out of the SUNYAC West in a conference semifinal game at 4 p.m. on Thursday, Apr. 29. The Hawks dropped to 5-3 overall and in the conference and finished third in the SUNYAC East based on tiebreaker criteria with Oneonta, which earned the second seed.
 
Junior 
Shelby Meduski (East Quogue/Westhampton Beach) recorded two goals and one assist for Cortland, while senior 
Hannah Tiso (Somers), junior 
Hannah Keech (Penn Yan/Penn Yan Academy) and sophomore 
Kiki Meager (Syracuse/West Genesee) each scored two goals.
 
Senior 
Cecilia Procopio (Syracuse/West Genesee) totaled four points on one goal and three assists. Junior 
Katie Goodrich (Jordan/Jordan-Elbridge) contributed one goal and one assist, senior 
Paige Hommel (East Islip/St. John the Baptist) scored a goal and senior 
Catie Fleming (Massapequa/Farmingdale) and junior 
Amy Hoeffner (Bay Shore) each chipped in with an assist.
 
Senior goalie 
Paige Potter (Cortland) made eight saves for the Red Dragons. Meager added seven draw controls, and Meduski secured four draws. Senior 
Kayla Petre (Hauppauge) recorded four ground balls and two caused turnovers, and Fleming and freshman 
Holly Wright (Huntington) each finished with two ground balls and two caused turnovers.
 
Tara Bovich led New Paltz with five goals. Katie Zito scored twice, Maddie Gillis and Ella Malanga each netted a goal and Keydy Espinoza and Kaitlyn Shaw collected one assist apiece.
 
Goalie Hailey Aber stopped nine shots in 56:36. Goalie Haley Timarky turned aside one shot in 3:24. Shannon Brosnan secured five draws, Shaw caused four turnovers and won three draws and Espinoza finished with three draws.
