Cortland Loses SUNYAC Game vs. Oswego, 5-3

CORTLAND, N.Y. – Junior Travis Broughman (Mechanicsville, VA/Carleton Place Canadians) recorded a hat trick to lead the Oswego men's hockey team to a 5-3 victory at Cortland Friday night in SUNYAC action at Alumni Arena. The Red Dragons dropped to 10-9-1 overall and 5-5-1 in the conference (17 points). The Lakers improved to 13-4-1 and 8-1-1 (25 points).

Sophomore Sutter Donegan (Cicero/Buffalo Jr. Sabres) registered a goal and an assist for Cortland. Senior Ethan Homitz (Allison Park, PA/New Hampshire Monarchs) and sophomore Nate Berke (Williamsville/Buffalo Jr. Sabres) each netted a goal. Senior Michael Sciore (Syracuse/Buffalo Jr. Sabres), junior Matt Jahn (Glen Allen, VA/Charlotte Rush) and freshmen Anthony Bernardo (Hauppauge/PAL Junior Islanders) and Andrew Clouden (Hamburg/Seacoast Spartans) collected one assist apiece. Junior goalie Luca Durante (Brampton, ON/Aurora Tigers) made 19 saves.

Juniors Tommy Cahill (Winnetka, IL/King's College) and Garrett Clegg (At. Albert, AB/Robert Morris) added goals for Oswego. Junior Mac Lewis (Uxbridge, ON/Trenton Golden Hawks) and freshman Alex DiCarlo (Niagara Falls, ON/Pembroke Lumber Kings) each tallied two assists. Junior goalie Steven Kozikoski (Liverpool/Oswego Stampede) turned aside 27 shots.
