PITTSFORD, N.Y. – The nationally 20th-ranked Cortland field hockey team utilized a balanced scoring attack to secure a 4-0 non-conference win at St. John Fisher Saturday afternoon. The Red Dragons improved to 9-3 with the victory, while the Cardinals dropped to 5-9.

Molly Miller (Clifton Park/Shenendehowa) each tallied goals for Cortland. Junior
Madison Rice (Greene/Greene Central) recorded an assist.
Freshman goalie
Emma Morgan (Whitney Point) posted her third straight shutout for the Red Dragons without having to make a save. Goalie Sophia Trozzi turned aside five shots for St. John Fisher.
Snyder opened the scoring 11:17 into the game before Rice assisted Fox's goal at the 21:14 mark to give Cortland a 2-0 lead heading into halftime. Ettere's unassisted goal 9:03 into the third quarter made it a 3-0 score, and Miller completed the scoring just over two minutes later for the 4-0 final.
The Red Dragons outshot the Cardinals, 26-3, and held a commanding 14-4 advantage in penalty corners in the game.
