WILLIAMSTOWN, MASS. – The Williams College women's ice hockey team scored four second-period goals to break open a tight game in earning a 6-1 win versus Cortland Sunday afternoon in non-conference action.

Grace Schnorr (Camillus/Little Caesars) scored the goal for the Red Dragons (4-3). Senior
Jayden Kelley (East Berne/CP Dynamo) and sophomore
Gillian Zwolak (Stoney Creek, ON/Ancaster Avalanche) each recorded an assist. Sophomore
Molly Goergen (Eden Prairie, MN/Eden Prairie H.S.) made 12 saves in 34:15 before giving way to junior
Anna Hamid (Mineola/New Jersey Colonials), who stopped 12 of the 13 shots she faced over the final 25:45.
Quinn Dawson led the Ephs (2-2) with two goals and an assist. Leah Rubinshsteyn, Kelly McCarthy, Lucie Bond and Chloe Noxon each netted a goal. Ella Chiang and Paige Galle collected two assists apiece, while four others picked up an assist. Goalie Sofia Da Silva registered 36 saves.
Williams took a 2-0 lead just 4:30 into the game before Schnorr pulled Cortland to within 2-1 with her second goal of the season at the 6:10 mark of the opening period.
The Ephs took control of the game with their four-goal second period with scores from four different players. The Red Dragons outshot Williams, 15-9, in the third period with three power-play chances but couldn't cut into the deficit as the Ephs earned the 6-1 win.
