Ethan Domanico won the 100-yard butterfly and was second in the 200-yard butterfly
ITHACA, N.Y. – The Cortland men's swimming and diving team registered four first-place finishes during its 177-122 dual-meet loss at Ithaca College.
Makiah Poli (Cortland/Home schooled) won the 100-yard backstroke in 55.24 seconds,
Hunter Bernhardt (Groton) was the 500-yard freestyle winner in 4:55.47, and
Ethan Domanico (New Windsor/Newburgh Free Academy) won the 100-yard butterfly in 54.03 seconds.
Mason Rowlands (Campbell Hall/Washingtonville) and
Sam Zani (Irondequoit) tied for first place in the 100-yard freestyle at 50.21 seconds.
Bernhardt finished second in the 1,000-yard freestyle (10:07.36), Domanico was second in the 200-yard butterfly (2:05.72) and Zani was runner-up in the 50-yard freestyle (22.70).
Mason Arnberg (Dix Hills/Half Hollow Hills East) posted two second-place finishes with times of 1:01.35 in the 100-yard breaststroke and 2:03.91 in the 200-yard individual medley.
Sean Zupko (Montgomery/Valley Central) was second in the 200-yard backstroke (2:01.61).
Cortland took second place in both relays.
Lasse Bieder (Cologne, Germany/Apostelgymnasium Köln), Arnberg,
Kellen Dickman (Montgomery/Valley Central) and Rowlands were second in the 400-yard medley relay (3:41.95), while Zani,
Ryan Lerner (Washingtonville),
Hunter Sugrue-Neuendorf (Valley Cottage/Nyack) and
Aiden Poli (Cortland/Home schooled) finished second in the 200-yard freestyle relay (1:31.33).
Cortland will host Buffalo State in a dual meet on Saturday, Nov. 19, at 1 p.m.
