RADNOR, PA. – The nationally 12th-ranked Cabrini men's lacrosse team held Cortland scoreless for the first 21:10 of the game and earned a 7-4 victory over the Red Dragons Friday night in non-conference action. The Red Dragons dropped to 1-3 with the setback, while the Cavaliers improved to 3-2.

Troy Morris (Long Beach) added an assist.

Travis Wagner (Penfield) registered a season-high 17 saves for Cortland. Senior
Dominick Natale (Homer) collected four ground balls and caused three turnovers, and junior
Jake Smeader (Hamburg) finished with three ground balls and three caused turnovers.
Dillon McManus scored three goals to pace the Cabrini offense. Mikey Vanaman tallied one goal and one assist, and Austin Bolton, Bryan Rafferty and Tommy Vaughan each netted a goal.
Goalie Matt Nestler turned aside 13 shots, caused three turnovers and secured three ground balls. Jake Huey won 12-of-15 faceoffs and scooped up six ground balls, while Zack Kaut added three ground balls.
The Cavaliers led 2-0 after the opening quarter and pushed their advantage to 4-0 with a pair of goals just 20 seconds apart early in the second quarter. Smith eventually put Cortland on the scoreboard at 8:50, but Cabrini added a goal at 6:12 to take a 5-1 lead into intermission.
The Red Dragons pulled to within 5-3 at the 8:19 mark of the third quarter as Doyen and Starrett scored. The Cavaliers extended their lead back to four with goals at 2:49 and just one second before the end of the quarter. Stiles netted the lone goal of the fourth quarter at 6:29, and Cabrini secured the 7-4 win.
