SALISBURY, MD. – The nationally top-ranked and defending DIv. III national champion Salisbury women's lacrosse team built a 9-3 lead at the half and went on to a 19-6 win versus 22nd-ranked Cortland Saturday afternoon. The Red Dragons dropped to 1-4, while the Sea Gulls improved to 8-0.

Erin Scannell netted a game-high five goals to pace the offense for Salisbury. Delaney Hill score four goals, Lydia McNulty had three goals and an assist, Emma Skoglund tallied two goals and two assists and Leah Vilov contributed two goals and one assist. Three others each scored a goal.
Goalie Mary Claire Hisle stopped four shots through three quarters before giving way to Kaitlyn Hunsinger, who made three fourth-quarter saves. Hill also chipped in with four draws and two ground balls, while Vilov won three draws.
