CORTLAND, N.Y. – Eleven different players scored goals as the Cortland men's lacrosse team improved to 7-6 overall and 4-0 in the SUNYAC with a dominating 22-5 victory versus Oneonta Friday night at the Stadium Complex. Oneonta dropped to 2-9 and 1-3 with the loss.
Seniors
Dante Yacavone (Homer) and
Troy Morris each scored a game-high four goals for Cortland with Yacavone adding an assist. Junior
Austin Palmer (Hamburg/St. Francis) tallied a season-high four points on three goals and an assist, senior
Pat Doyen (Miller Place) finished with a season-high seven points on two goals and a career-best five assists, freshman
Ryan Scanlon (Cornelius, NC/William Amos Hough) scored a season-high five points on two goals and three assists and junior
Tyler Starrett (Redding, CT/Joel Barlow) netted a pair of goals.

Junior Luke Mignoli (Long Beach) started in goal for the visiting Red Dragons, making six saves in 28:44. Sophomore Harrison Boukas (North Massapequa/Plainedge) registered two saves in 25:07, and senior Jordan Berson (Old Bethpage/JFK) stopped two shots in the final 6:09. Senior Timothy Shanley (West Hempstead) won 12-of-23 faceoffs and collected four ground balls, and freshman Stephen Barikyan (Tappan/Tappan Zee) secured five ground balls.
