CORTLAND, N.Y. – Fifteen different players scored goals as the nationally 21st-ranked Cortland women's lacrosse team defeated Fredonia, 21-1, Saturday afternoon in SUNYAC action at the Stadium Complex. The Red Dragons won their 10th consecutive game, improving to 11-4 overall and 7-0 in the conference. The Blue Devils fell to 1-13 and 0-7.

Lauren Hopsicker (Burnt Hills/Burnt Hills-Ballston Lake) led Cortland with six points on four goals and two assists. Graduate student

Hannah Keech (Penn Yan/Penn Yan Academy) each tallied two goals and an assist, and freshman
Nicole Iapoce (Clintondale/Highland) also netted two goals.

Matisyn Schaut (Syracuse/West Genesee) caused four turnovers and collected three ground balls. Janis scooped up four ground balls, Squillini added three caused turnovers and Keech secured four draw controls.
Freshman Audrey Brown (Hilton) scored Fredonia's goal on a free-position shot with just under a minute remaining in the game. Senior goalie Emily Carr (Conesus/Livonia) turned aside seven shots. Senior Allison Polito (Rochester/Churchville-Chii) won five draws, collected three ground balls and caused a turnover. Carr and senior Kendall Shearn (Hilton) each secured three ground balls.
