POTSDAM, N.Y. – The nationally 21st-ranked Cortland women's lacrosse team roared out to an 11-0 lead after the first 15 minutes of play and earned a 19-1 victory at Potsdam Wednesday afternoon in SUNYAC play. The Red Dragons improved to 12-4 overall with their 11th win in a row and 8-0 in the conference and clinched the top seed in the upcoming six-team league tournament with one game remaining. The Bears fell to 6-9 and 1-7.
In the win, graduate student
Hannah Lorenzen (Stony Brook/Ward Melville) tallied five points on two goals and three assists to become the 18th player in program history to reach 200 career points. Lorenzen increased her totals to 203 points on 158 goals and 45 assists.

Lauren Hopsicker (Burnt Hills/Burnt Hills-Ballston Lake) finished with three goals and an assist for Cortland. Senior

Paige Potter (Cortland) started in goal for Cortland, making two saves and collecting two ground balls in 48:32. Janis played the final 11:28 in the cage and did not face a shot on goal. Keech and Czyz each contributed four caused turnovers and two ground balls. Lorenzen won four draws, Hoeffner secured three draws and Stamboly caused two turnovers.
Lindsey LaDue scored Potsdam's goal late in the second quarter to end a Red Dragon 13-0 run to begin the game. Anita Reitano assisted on the goal.
Netta Terrance started in goal for the Bears, making eight saves through three quarters. Rachel Orzel did not stop a shot over the final 15 minutes. LaDue added three ground balls, three draws and two caused turnovers, and Calena Rodriguez finished with three ground balls and two caused turnovers.
