BUFFALO, N.Y. – The nationally 21st-ranked Cortland women's lacrosse team scored the first 13 goals of the game and earned a 23-2 victory at Buffalo St. Saturday afternoon in the regular-season finale for both teams. The Red Dragons won their 12th straight game, improving to 13-4 overall and 9-0 in the SUNYAC, and will host the winner between Oswego and Oneonta in the conference semifinals next Friday.
Fourteen different Cortland players scored goals in the game. Senior
Lauren Hopsicker (Burnt Hills/Burnt Hills-Ballston Lake) led the way with three goals and four assists. Senior

Julia Wachna and Liz Schultheis scored goals for the Bengals (6-9, 2-7 SUNYAC). Sarah Fineour contributed an assist and three draw controls. Lauren Rinow recorded three caused turnovers and two draws. Goalie Janae Nelson made seven saves.
