Cortland Shuts Out St. Lawrence, 3-0, for Tiffany Hubbard's 100th Career Win

CANTON, N.Y. – Cortland field hockey head coach Tiffany Hubbard earned her 100th career victory as the nationally 18th-ranked Red Dragons shut out host St. Lawrence, 3-0.

Hubbard's win total includes 83 victories in her six seasons on the field with the Red Dragons (2016-19, 2021-22) along with 17 victories as head coach at Division I Georgetown University.

Cortland (6-1) opened the scoring 6:36 into the game when Madison Rice (Greene), in front of the cage, redirected in a ball sent from the top of the circle by Hanna Corrigan (Barneveld/Holland Patent) on a penalty corner play. The Red Dragons extended the lead to 2-0 with 8:59 left in the first half on a goal by Jamie Snyder (North Syracuse/Cicero-North Syracuse), assisted by Lily Fox (Northport), after a scramble in front of the cage. Snyder set up the play initially as she dribbled in from the left endline.

Molly Miller (Clifton Park/Shenendehowa) finished the scoring with a goal off a rebound with 11:06 left in the contest. Cortland goalie Emma Morgan (Whitney Point) saved the only shot she faced with 1:54 remaining to preserve the shutout.

Lucy Adiutori made 10 saves for St. Lawrence (4-4). The Saints also registered three defensive saves – two by Suzanne L'Hommedieu and one by Maja Helmer. Cortland outshot the Saints, 18-1, and earned 15 of the game's 18 penalty corners.

Cortland will travel to Geneseo for a SUNYAC game on Saturday at noon.
