CORTLAND, N.Y. – The nationally 15th-ranked Cortland field hockey team clinched the top seed for November's four-team SUNYAC tournament with a 10-0 win over visiting Morrisville. The Red Dragons (10-1, 5-0 SUNYAC) are guaranteed no worse than a tie for first in the league with one conference game remaining, and Cortland holds the head-to-head tiebreaker over the two teams, New Paltz and Geneseo, that could finish tied with the Red Dragons.
Sidney DeMagistris (Gloversville) led Cortland with two goals and one assist.
Molly Miller (Clifton Park/Shenendehowa) and

Keirra Ettere (Mahopac/Lakeland) also scored goals and

Cortland took a 3-0 lead less than 10 minutes into the game on goals by Ettere, Reinisch and Miller, the last of which was assisted by Passante. Miller's second goal of the game, set up by
Sidney DeMagistris, made it 4-0 early in the second quarter. The lead grew to 7-0 by halftime on a three-goal flurry within a three-minute window. Babino scored two of those goals, sandwiched around a
Sidney DeMagistris tally.
Healey scored the lone goal of the third period on a penalty stroke with less than 28 seconds remaining. The Red Dragons' fourth-quarter goals came from Cummings, off a penalty corner insert from
