#14 Red Dragons Defeat Stevenson, 12-0

REISTERSTOWN, MD. – Ten different players scored goals as the nationally 14th-ranked Cortland women's ice hockey team opened its season with a 12-0 victory at Stevenson in non-conference action Friday night.

Graduate student Dany Donegan (Cicero/Syracuse Nationals) and junior Meggan Cramer (Cicero/Northwood School) led the Red Dragons with two goals each. Donegan also recorded two assists, while Cramer added one assist. Senior Molly McCabe (Webster/18UAA Webster) tallied a goal and two assists, and senior Nicole Tulowiecki (Syracuse/Syracuse Nationals), junior Mia Hlasnick (Olean/Niagara Jr. Purple Eagles) and freshman Drew Kopek (Rome/Syracuse Valley Eagles) recorded one goal and one assist each.

Senior Jillian Hlasnick (Olean/Niagara Jr. Purple Eagles) and sophomores Fanny Aneborn (Linkoping, Sweden/Lulea HF Sweden), Hayley Hunter (Pulaski/NAHA) and Kayla Persinger (Lewiston/Newark Ironbound) each netted a goal for Cortland. Graduate student Elena Eichmann (Rochester/Syracuse Nationals), senior Kait Bourgeois (Cobden, ON/Ottawa Thunder) and sophomore Ainsley Delacourt (Stoney Creek, ON/Brampton Canadettes) collected two assists apiece. Junior Gillian Zwolak (Stoney Creek, ON/Ancaster Avalanche) and freshmen Calista Brough (Port Perry, ON/Whitby Wolves) and Katie Mahoney (Toronto, ON/Toronto Leaside) each picked up an assist.

Freshman goalie Maggie Dickinson (Bowmanville, ON/Toronto Leaside) made 10 saves in posting the shutout in her first career start for the Red Dragons. Goalie Olivia DeGuire stopped 25 shots in 24:05, Mallory Hunt turned aside 18 shots in 27:59 and Maggie Sehnert registered two saves in 7:56 for the Mustangs.
