CORTLAND, N.Y. – The Cortland men's hockey team opened conference play with a 6-3 home win versus Buffalo St. Friday night at Alumni Arena. The Red Dragons improved to 3-0 overall, while the Bengals fell to 1-2.
Sophomore
Stephen Kyrkostas (Selden/Johnstown Tomahawks) scored his first two goals as a Red Dragon. Senior
Nate Berke (Williamsville/Buffalo Jr. Sabres) recorded a goal and two assists. Senior
Sutter Donegan (Cicero/Buffalo Jr. Sabres) and juniors
Domenic Settimo (East Meadow/P.A.L. Junior Islanders) and
Andrew Clouden (Hamburg/Seacoast Spartans) added goals for Cortland.

Geordan Buffoline (Ballston Spa/Vermont Lumberjacks) and freshman
Colin Anna (Tampa, FL/Wilkes Barre Scranton Knights) each registered an assist for the Red Dragons. Sophomore goalie
Ronan Mobley (Playa Del Ray, CA/New Hampshire Avalanche) made 25 saves.
Senior Nick Stuckless (Orangeville, ON/Skidmore College), junior Anthony Morin (Greenfield Center/Utica Jr. Comets) and sophomore Aidan LaValley (Champlain/Vermont Lumberjacks) netted the goals for Buffalo St. Juniors Michael McCosh (Glendale, AZ/New Mexico Ice Wolves) and Joe Glamos (Baldwinsville/New Jersey Titans) and freshmen Jason Kwestel (Rockaway, NJ/Valley Wildcats) and Blake Deacon (Port Williams, NS/Valley Wildcats) each recorded an assist. Sophomore goalie Drew Doran (Orchard Park/Utica University) stopped 32 shots.
