CORTLAND, N.Y. – The Cortland men's hockey team went 3-for-3 on the power play and skated to a 5-2 victory in SUNYAC action Saturday night at Alumni Arena. The Red Dragons stayed perfect on the season at 4-0 overall and improved to 2-0 in the conference. The Blue Devils dropped to 0-4 and 0-2.

Junior Ryan Bailey (Anchorage, AK/Boston Jr. Rangers) and freshman Antoine St. Onge (Shawinagin, QC/Notre Dame Hounds) scored Fredonia's goals. Senior David Sudbrink (Nolensville, TN/Ogden Mustangs), junior Johnny Malandruccolo (Auburn/Boston Jr. Rangers) and freshman Dillon Schmidt (Sun Prairie, WI/Oregon Tradesmen) each picked up an assist. Sophomore goalie Charles-Anthony Barbeau (St.-Remi, QC/Northern Colorado Eagles) registered 28 saves.
St. Onge opened the scoring 10:42 into the game with a one-time shot from the left side at a sharp angle and the Blue Devils led 1-0 after 20 minutes of play. The Red Dragons answered with three second-period goals. Seitz scored at 3:42 with a wrist shot from the left circle, and just over a minute later Donegan scored from nearly the same spot after Buffoline won a faceoff. Seitz than scored his second goal of the night at 10:10 to give Cortland a 3-1 lead heading into the final period.
Bailey cut the Cortland lead to 3-2 at the 4:13 mark, converting a semi-breakaway, but Bernado's goal on a one timer on the left side of the goal at 7:47 gave the Red Dragons their two-goal lead back. Donegan completed the scoring with a deflection on the power play at 13:11 for the 5-2 final.
