PLATTSBURGH, N.Y. – The nationally top-ranked Plattsburgh men's hockey team opened up a 4-0 lead early into the third period and earned a 6-1 win versus Cortland Friday night in SUNYAC play at Stafford Ice Arena. The Red Dragons fell to 6-2 overall and 4-2 in the conference, while the Cardinals improved to 9-0 and 5-0.

Luk Jirousek paced Plattsburgh with two goals, the last two of the game. Thomas Maia and Aaron Catron each recorded a goal and an assist, while Tio D'Addario and Joshua Belgrave netted a goal. Bennet Stockdale and Kevin Weaver-Vitale each picked up two assists. Goalie Eli Shiller made 18 saves.
