CORTLAND, N.Y. – The Cortland men's hockey team scored the last three goals of the game and skated to a 4-1 victory versus Neumann in non-conference action Saturday night at Alumni Arena. The Red Dragons improved to 9-2. The Knights fell to 5-6.

Senior Sutter Donegan (Cicero/Buffalo Jr. Sabres) led Cortland with a pair of goals. Seniors John Kuhl (Essex Fells, NJ/Boston Jr. Rangers) and Nate Berke (Williamsville/Buffalo Jr. Sabres) each netted a goal. Senior Geordan Buffoline (Ballston Spa/Vermont Lumberjacks), junior Domenic Settimo (East Meadow/P.A.L. Junior Islanders) and sophomores Evan Beaudry (Mississauga, ON/Kemptville 73s), Nick Serio (Bayville/P.A.L. Junior Islanders) and Stephen Kyrlostas (Selden/Johnstown Tomahawks) collected one assist apiece. Senior goalie Jack Riedell (Greensboro, NC/Charlotte Rush) made 30 saves in improving his record to 5-0 on the season.

Senior Tyler Kulas (Janesville, WI/Hudson Havoc) scored Neumann's goal. Sophomore Tony Andrews (St. Louis, MO/Philadelphia Little Flyers) recorded an assist. Sophomore goalie Logan Gorbitz (Superior, CO/Richmond Generals) registered 31 saves.

Donegan gave Cortland a 1-0 lead at 8:20 of the opening period, scoring into an open net on the left side off a pass across the slot from Beaudry.

After a scoreless second period, Kulas tied the game at 4:47 of the third period when he poked in a loose puck on the left side of the crease. Kuhl scored the game winner just under four minutes later, intercepting a clearing pass along the left boards and scoring with a shot through traffic.

Donegan's second goal, coming on a one-time shot from the high slot after a Buffoline face-off win, at 16:25 put the Red Dragons up 3-1. Neumann pulled Gorbitz for an extra skater late in the game, but Berke sealed the win with an empty-net goal at 19:30 for the 4-1 final.
