GENESEO, N.Y. – The nationally ninth-ranked Geneseo men's hockey team scored the final four goals of the game and defeated Cortland, 4-2, in SUNYAC action Saturday night. The Red Dragons dropped to 13-8-1 overall and 8-5 in the conference. The Knights improved to 15-5-2 and 9-3-1.

Sophomore Domenic Settimo (East Meadow/P.A.L. Junior Islanders) and freshman Zack Smith (Courtice, ON/Cobourg Cougars) scored Cortland's goal. Junior Nate Berke (Buffalo/Buffalo Jr. Sabres) collected an assist. Senior goalie Luca Durante (Brampton, ON/Aurora Tigers) registered 33 saves.

Cooper Fensterstock scored twice for Geneseo. Alex Dameski tallied a goal and an assist and Bryan Zurowski netted a goal. Greg Koutsomitis and Diarmad DiMurro each contributed two assists and Tommy Winn, Nathan Poolman and Matthew Doran picked up one assist. Goalie Adam Harris made 26 saves.

Cortland took a 2-0 lead just past the halfway point of the first period. Smith scored from the slot at 9:23 after a Geneseo turnover in its defensive  zone, and Settimo scored on a wraparound shot at 10:41. The Knights tied the game with goals from Fensterstock and Dameski 58 seconds apart to send the game into the second period even at 2-2.

Fensterstock netted the lone goal of the second period at 3:11. With the Knights leading, 3-2, late in the third period Cortland pulled Durante for an extra skater with under a minute left in regulation, but Zurowski sealed the win with an empty-net goal at the 19:51 mark for the 4-2 final.
