SPRINGFIELD, MASS. – Senior
Troy Morris (Long Beach) led 12 different goal scorers with four goals and an assist to become the 59th player in program history to surpass 100 career points as the Cortland men's lacrosse team defeated Lasell University, 17-2, at Western New England Friday afternoon in non-conference action.
Morris increased his career totals to 76 goals and 27 assists for 103 points. The Red Dragons improved to 3-0 on the season with the win. The Lasers dropped to 1-3.

Dante Yacavone (Homer) tallied two goals and an assist, freshman
Jono Arena (Sachem/Sachem East) scored the first two goals of his career, and senor
Tyler Starrett (Redding, CT/Joel Barlow) recorded five points on a goal and four assists for Cortland. Sophomore
Klay Stuver (Fairport) finished with a goal and two assists, and senior
Jason Chiodo (Hamburg) and junior
Bobby Kratochvil (Setauket/Ward Melville) each contributed a goal and an assist.
Sophomores
Sam Rothman (Dix Hills/Half Hollow Hills East),
Ryan Scanlon (Cornelius, NC/William Amos Hough) and
Ryan Smith (East Islip) each netted a goal, while freshmen
Ben Nyberg (Chantilly, VA) and
Nick Stoecker (East Setauket/Ward Melville) scored their first career goals. Sophomores
Kole Stuver (Fairport) and
Zach Perlett (Poughquag/Iona Prep) and freshmen
Caden Blandford (Shillington, PA/Governor Mifflin) and
Brad Nieves (Hopewell Junction/Arlington) chipped in with an assist.

Travis Wagner (Penfield) made six saves and allowed one goal through three quarters. Senior
Matt Stento (Bethlehem) stopped one shot in the fourth quarter. The Red Dragons won 16-of-23 faceoffs in the game. Sophomore
Owen Neubauer (Monroe/Monroe-Woodbury) secured 7-of-12 and recorded five ground balls. Sophomore
Rich Finn (LaGrange/Arlington) won 6-of-7 with four ground balls, and sophomore
Jack O'Brien (Babylon) was successful on 3-of-4 faceoffs with three ground balls.

Logan Schanars (Melville/Half Hollow Hills East) collected three ground balls apiece.
Landon Reyes scored both of Lasell's goals. Michael Catalano started in the cage, making 17 saves through three quarters before giving way to Liam Hill, who stopped one shot in the fourth quarter.
Matthew Carbone won seven faceoffs and recorded four ground balls. Tyler Rose and Ethan Dallas each caused two turnovers. Magnus Leonard secured four ground balls, and Catalano scooped up three ground balls.
