CHESTERTOWN, MD – Twenty different players picked up at least one point as the Cortland men's lacrosse team improved to 4-0 on the season with a 21-4 victory at Washington College Sunday afternoon. The Shoremen fell to 4-2.

Tyler Starrett (Redding, CT/Joel Barlow) led 14 Red Dragon goal scorers with four. Senior

Travis Wagner (Penfield) started in goal for Cortland, making 13 saves in 48:30. Senior
Matt Stento (Bethlehem) played the final 11:30, stopping one shot and adding an assist. Sophomore
Owen Neubauer (Monroe/Monroe-Woodbury) won 14-of-21 faceoffs and scooped up seven ground balls. Yacavone, Chiodo and senior
Justin Wainwright (Homer) collected three ground balls apiece.
Ewan Temple scored two goals for the Shoremen. Tyler Bishop and Luke Brennan each notched a goal, and Connor Garrison and Ben Dickinson recorded an assist.
Cole Corrigan started in goal, turning aside 13 shots through three quarters. Will Charvala, Robert Eigenrauch and Hunter Shank split time in goal in the fourth quarter with Charvala making three saves. TC White caused three turnovers and collected three ground balls.
Washington College held a 2-1 lead just before the midway point of the first quarter before Cortland strung together 10 straight goals spanning the first and second quarters in building an 11-3 lead at the half. The teams traded the first two goals of the third quarter, and the Red Dragons closed the game with nine consecutive goals for the 21-4 final.
