NEW PALTZ, N.Y. – The nationally 19th-ranked Cortland women's lacrosse team held New Paltz scoreless for a stretch of 46 minutes, 12 seconds spanning the first to fourth quarters in defeating the Hawks, 16-3, Wednesday afternoon in SUNYAC play. The Red Dragons raised their overall record to 11-3 and SUNYAC mark to 7-0. The Hawks dropped to 8-5 and 4-3.

Amy Hoeffner (Bay Shore) recorded six points on four goals and two assists and also contributed eight draw controls and two caused turnovers for Cortland. Sophomore

Morgan Atwater, Kaitlyn Shaw and Alyssa Indelicato scored goals for the Hawks. Shannon Brosnan and Maddie Gillis each chipped in with an assist. Ella Malanga caused five turnovers, and Brosnan recorded three caused turnovers.
