ONEONTA, N.Y. – The Cortland men's lacrosse team opened up a commanding 12-2 lead at the half in earning a 17-8 win at Oneonta in SUNYAC action Saturday afternoon. With the victory, Cortland head coach
Steve Beville recorded his 400th career win, raising his record to 400-175 through 35 years on the sideline, including a 239-57 mark at Cortland.

Jamie O'Neil led Oneonta (7-5, 3-2 SUNYAC) with four goals. Evan Kelly, Matthew Mangels, Jack Dinnegan and David Guest each scored a goal. Matthew Krieg picked up two assists, while Sam Haita and Connor Gallagher registered one assist.
Goalie Harrison Boukas made 20 saves. Steve Barikyan won 10-of-18 faceoffs. Christian Moreno collected five ground balls and caused three turnovers, and Bryce Caffrey secured five ground balls.
Cortland took a 7-1 lead after the first quarter as six different players score goals. The advantage grew to 12-2 at intermission with five different visiting Red Dragons scoring goals. Cortland's lead ballooned to 17-3 after three quarters before Oneonta closed out the game with five fourth-quarter goals for the 17-8 final.
