Art Jessup '65, a 2015 SUNY Cortland C-Club Hall of Fame inductee, passed away on August 28, 2023, at age 80.

Jessup competed in track and field and basketball while at Cortland. Upon graduation, he dedicated nearly four decades as a coach and teacher at Washingtonville (N.Y.) High School until his retirement from teaching in 1998 and coaching in 2002. His cross country teams recorded 255 wins, won a state title in 1987 and were state runners-up in 1984 and 1986. His track and field squads won 10 sectional and nine county titles.
