CORTLAND, N.Y. –
Leah Bernhardt (Groton),
Ella Garrow (Peru) and
Alyssa Haberlack (Long Beach) each won two individual events as the Cortland women's swimming and diving team defeated visiting Oswego, 164-106, in dual-meet action.
Bernhardt won the 200-yard freestyle (2:02.22) and 500-yard freestyle (5:29.00) and Garrow took top honors in the 100-yard backstroke (1:04.04) and 200-yard individual medley (2:21.81). Haberlack won 3-meter diving (200.00 points) and 1-meter diving (195.70 points).
Emma Bogdanowicz-Wilson (Schenectady) won the 100-yard breaststroke (1:12.76),
Areiannah Martinez-Reyes (Queens/Benjamin Cardozo) won the 200-yard butterfly (2:19.00) and
Julia Bryce touched the wall first in the 100-yard butterfly (1:02.18).
Cortland also won both relays.
Anna Stahurski (Oakdale/Connetquot), Bogdanowicz-Wilson, Martinez-Reyes and
Alayna Miller (Hilton) won the 200-yard medley relay (1:58.14), while
Kaila O'Hara (East Islip), Miller, Martinez-Reyes and Garrow finished first in the 200-yard freestyle relay (1:45.08).
Emily Lantry (Helena/St. Lawrence) placed second in both the 100-yard backstroke (1:04.70) and 500-yard freestyle (5:29.00).
Madi Monaghan (Chili/Gates Chili) placed second in the 100-yard freestyle (57.77) and she completed a top-three sweep for the Red Dragons in the 500 free with her third-place finish (5:48.90). Miller was second in the 100-yard butterfly (1:04.65), Martinez-Reyes finishes second in the 200 IM (2:23.23), and
Samantha Matthes (Saint James/Smithtown East) was second in 3-meter diving (177.10 points).
