BINGHAMTON, N.Y. - The Cortland women's tennis team closed out the fall portion of its schedule with a 7-0 loss to SUNYAC leader New Paltz at the Lane - Starke Tennis Center.

Cortland (6-4, 3-2 SUNYAC) will be the third seed in the four-team SUNYAC postseason tournament next April 25-26, also at the Lane - Starke Tennis Center in Binghamton. New Paltz (7-0, 5-0 SUNYAC), the two-time defending league champion, secured the top seed for the conference tournament. Oswego will be the second seed and will face Cortland in the semifinals, while Plattsburgh ended as the fourth seed and will play New Paltz.

New Paltz won all three doubles matches by 6-0 counts to take a 1-0 team lead. The closest singles match came on the fifth flight as Olivia Kunz defeated Cortland's
Preston Fuerbacher (Fairport), 6-4, 6-1.
