CORTLAND, N.Y. –
Leah Bernhardt (Groton) and
Alayna Miller (Hilton) each posted two individual event victories as Cortland defeated visiting Oneonta, 158-74, in a women's swimming and diving dual meet.
The meet was Cortland's final home contest of the season. The Red Dragons head to Oswego on Saturday for a 1 p.m. dual.
Bernhardt won the 1,000-yard freestyle (11:14.82) and 500-yard freestyle (5:29.47) and Miller won the 50-yard freestyle (25.54) and 100-yard freestyle (57.09).
Ryann Redmond (Floral Park/Floral Park Memorial) was the 200-yard freestyle winner (2:06.90),
Tristinye Martinez-Reyes (Queens/Benjamin Cardozo) won the 200-yard butterfly (2:24.43) and
Emily Lantry (Helena/St. Lawrence) was the winner in the 200-yard backstroke (2:20.24).
Makenna Deitz (Ravena/Ravena-Coeymans-Selkirk) won the 200-yard breaststroke (2:39.66) as an exhibition entry due to the team score.
In diving action,
Megan McLaughlin (Avon) earned a win on the 1-meter board with a score of 208.40 points and
Alyssa Haberlack (Long Beach) won the 3-meter board with a score of 231.75 points.
The 400-yard medley relay team of Lantry,
Mackenzie Dickman (Montgomery/Valley Central),
Caitlin Elsasser (Merrick/Sanford H. Calhoun) and
Morgan Hannon (Hyde Park/Franklin D. Roosevelt) won in 4:19.85 to open the meet. In the final event of the evening,
Ella Garrow (Peru),
Rhianna Lynch (New Hartford),
Areiannah Martinez-Reyes (Queens/Benjamin Cardozo) and Bernhardt won as an exhibition entry in 3:52.49.
