Red Dragon Men Earn 166.5-124.5 Home Dual Victory vs. Oswego

CORTLAND, N.Y. – Cortland won 10 events, including four athletes with two victories each, and the Red Dragons defeated visiting Oswego, 166.5-124.5, in a men's swimming and diving dual meet at Holsten Pool.
 
James DuTremble (Pleasantville/Briarcliff) won both the 1,000-yard freestyle (10:21.65) and 500-yard freestyle (5:02.28), and Colin Veit (Port Jefferson/Earl L. Vandermeulen) was victorious in the 200-yard freestyle (1:48.36) and 200-yard IM (2:01.96). Eliseo Fernandez (Poughkeepsie/Roy C. Ketcham) won the 100-yard backstroke (55.00) and 200-yard backstroke (2:00.30), and Kevin Kohlhoff earned the top spot in both 1-meter diving (318.45 points) and 3-meter diving (284.50 points).
 
Kellen Dickman (Montgomery/Valley Central) won the 100-yard butterfly (53.47) and finished second in the 100-yard breaststroke (1:01.41). Dylan Monaco (Lynbrook) captured the title in the 200-yard butterfly (2:03.54).
 
Liam Byrons (Skaneateles) finished second behind DuTremble in both the 1,000 free (10:37.91) and 500 free (5:06.37). Aiden Ramirez (Suffern) was second in the 200 backstroke (2:05.27) and Dariusz Sargent (Holland Patent) was runner-up in the 200-yard breaststroke (2:19.05). Calvin Eggleston (Antwerp/Indian River) was second in 1-meter diving (237.00 points) and Kensington Wilck (Newark) placed second in 3-meter diving (157.00 points).
 
Cortland was scheduled to send competitors to Ithaca's Dick Comanzo Diving Invitational on Sunday, but the meet has been postponed due to the weather.
