Cortland to Host National Collegiate Gymnastics Association Championship March 20

The top women's gymnasts nationally in Division III will compete for team and individual titles when SUNY Cortland hosts the 2026 National Collegiate Gymnastics Association (NCGA) Championship on Friday, March 20, at 2 p.m. at Whitney T. Corey Gymnasium.

Six schools will qualify for the team competition, based on results from the NCGA East Regional March 7 at Rhode Island College and the Wisconsin Intercollegiate Athletic Conference (WIAC) Championship March 7 at Winona State University (Minn.). The top two teams at each meet qualify for nationals, along with the next two teams, regardless of region, based on Seasonal Average Score (SAS) as indicated on the Road to Nationals website (roadtonationals.com).

In addition, individuals not on qualifying teams will be chosen to compete at nationals based on regional results and SAS.

Tickets for the championships are $10 for adults, $7 for seniors, and $5 for youth and college students (plus a $1 service fee) and can be ordered online at:

Dr. Marissa DeAngelo - Springfield College
Jessica (Bolduc) Dotto - Ithaca College
Lauren (Gildemeyer) LaVine - SUNY Brockport
John Feeney - SUNY Brockport Head Coach
Eduardo Ovalle - MIT Head Coach

Cortland has previously hosted the NCGA Championship in 1992 and 2008. Wisconsin-La Crosse is the defending national champion after claiming the title last spring at Gustavus Adolphus College (Minn.). Cortland was the top East team at the national meet with a fourth-place finish.
