Each of Cortland's first five goals of the game were netted by a different player, as Eli Volk (Alamo, CA/San Ramon Valley), Swedlund, Caden Morra (Farmindale/Plainedge), Tucker Macknik (Baldwinsville/C.W. Baker), and Frank Neeson (Orchard Park) tallied a goal apiece.

Cortland extended its lead to 12-0 at the end of the quarter, as Kavanagh and Stoecker tallied two goals each, and James Violi (East Islip), Volk, and Swedlund had a goal apiece in the final 6:37 of the quarter. Kavanagh's second goal of the game came right at the end of the quarter off an assist from Conor Cosgrove (Warwick/Don Bosco Prep, NJ).
