Kayla was selected as the State University of New York Athletic Conference (SUNYAC) Field Hockey Player of the Week after recording fi ve goals and one assist in two games at the Villa Julie Black-Eyed Susan Tournament. She scored a goal and assisted on another in a 4-2 loss to 17th-ranked Johns Hopkins and tallied a career-high four goals as the Red Dragons defeated Rhodes College, 5-1. Cortland entered the season ranked fourth in Division III.
