Jonathan finished first at 165 pounds at the season-opening Ithaca Invitational. Seeded sixth, he posted a 5-0 record, including decisions over the third seed in the quarterfinals, the second seed in the semifinals and the fourth seed in the championship match. Cortland placed third in the 11-team event.
