Ben won an individual title and was part of two winning relays at the SUNYAC Men's Swimming and Diving Championships. He set school and meet records and reached the NCAA "B" cut standard with his time of 51.99 seconds in the 100-yard backstroke. He swam a leg on the winning 800-yard freestyle relay team and anchored the winning 200-yard freestyle relay unit. Strickland also swam on two second-place relays (200-yard medley and 400-yard freestyle).
