Melique posted ECAC-qualifying performances in two events at the Boston University Valentine Invitational. He finished 12th out of 117 competitors and was the third-best collegiate finisher (top Div. III) in the 60-meter dash in 7.02 seconds. He also finished 21st of 232 entries in the 200-meter dash in 21.95 seconds. His 200-meter time currently ranks seventh nationally.
