Vanessa played a big role in two Cortland come-from-behind overtime home victories to start the season. She headed in the winning goal in the second overtime period in a 2-1 victory over Moravian Friday. On Sunday, she assisted on two goals, including the game winner in the first overtime, as Cortland rallied from a 2-0 deficit to defeat Rutgers-Newark, 3-2.
