CORTLAND, N.Y. - Six different players scored goals as the Potsdam men's hockey team skated to a 6-3 win at Cortland Saturday night in SUNYAC action. The Bears raised their overall record to 6-7 and their conference mark to 2-5 with the win. The Red Dragons dropped to 4-8 and 2-7.

Junior Connor Beck (Richmond Hill, ON/Toronto Jr. Canadiens) recorded a goal and an assist for Cortland. Sophomore Alex Storjohann (Phoenix, AZ/Kirkland Lake) and freshman Mike Sciore (Syracuse/Buffalo Jr. Sabres) also added goals. Senior Mike Crowley (Buffalo/Springfield Blues), juniors Sean Perichak (Oakville, ON/Markham Royals) and Douglas Elgstam (Stockholm, Sweden/New Jersey Rockets) and sophomore Louis DiMatteo (Nobleton, ON/Trenton Golden Hawks) each collected an assist.

Junior Nick Modica (Suffern/New Jersey Hitmen) started in goal and stopped 12 shots in 22:50. Sophomore Salvatore Lauretta (Center Moriches/Binghamton Jr. Senators) made 19 saves in 37:07.

Junior Vinny Guimond (Sorel-Tracy, QC/Gloucester Rangers) led Potsdam with one goal and two assists. Sophomore Brett Horn (Cary, NC/Humboldt Broncos) had one goal and two assists, freshmen Tom Terranova (Middletown, NJ/Syracuse Stars) and Devin Panzeca (Lake Zurich, IL/East Coast Wizards) each tallied one goal and one assist, while sophomore Jacob Juron (Latham/South Shore Kings) and freshman Jake Bloem (Saratoga Springs/Connecticut Rangers) chipped in with one goal apiece. Senior Mike Sweeney (Pittsburgh, PA/PAL Islanders) registered two assists, and sophomore Jon Venter (Guilford, CT/Syracuse Stars) and freshman Ben Thompson (Canterbury, CT/New Hampshire Avalanche) each contributed one assist. Senior goalie Nate Skidmore (Syracuse/Buffalo Jr. Sabres) stopped 25 shots.
