Mackenzie Dickman won the 100-yard and 200-yard breaststroke races and swam the breaststroke leg on the winning 400-yard medley relay team

CORTLAND, N.Y. – The Cortland women's swimming and diving team defeated visiting Fredonia, 173-77, in a dual meet to close out the regular season.
Mackenzie Dickman (Montgomery/Valley Central),
Madi Monaghan (Chili/Gates-Chili),
Emily Lantry (Massena/St. Lawrence),
Caitlin Elsasser (Merrick/Sanford H. Calhoun) and
Taylor Williams (Slate Hill/Minisink Valley) each registered multiple individual wins for the Red Dragons.
Dickman won the 100-yard breaststroke (1:13.77) and 200-yard breaststroke (2:41.43) and Monaghan won the 200-yard freestyle (2:02.15) and 100-yard freestyle (56.22). Monaghan was also the winner of the 200-yard individual medley (2:18.47) as an exhibition entry. Lantry captured the 100-yard backstroke (1:03.03) and 200-yard backstroke (2:17.22) and Elsasser was the winner in the 200-yard butterfly (2:23.28) and 100-yard butterfly (1:05.57). Williams won both diving events with scores of 466.20 points on the 3-meter board and 449.70 points on the 1-meter board.
The quartet of Lantry, Dickman,
Marissa Kordal (Eden) and
Sophia Boccio (Garden City) won the meet-opening 400-yard medley relay (4:20.66), and
Kailyn Anselment (Queensbury/Glens Falls), Boccio,
Iris Incitti (Endwell/Maine-Endwell) and
Nicole Murphy (Saratoga Springs) finished with a win in the 200-yard freestyle relay (1:46.52).
Anselment and Murphy were two of four Red Dragons to earn multiple second-place individual finishes, along with
Josie LaPolt (New Paltz) and
Ashley Zachgo (Clifton Park/Shenendehowa).
Anselment was the runner-up in the 1,000-yard freestyle (11:22.62) and 500-yard freestyle (5:31.53) and Murphy was second in the 100-yard breaststroke (1:14.12) and 50-yard freestyle (26.79). LaPolt was second in both the 100-yard backstroke (1:07.16) and 200-yard backstroke (2:25.89).
Zachgo punched her ticket to the Feb. 25-26 NCAA Division III Diving Regional in Ithaca after hitting NCAA standards for the second time this season. She placed second in the 3-meter event (437.03 pts.) and the 1-meter event (446.10 pts.), both with scores that exceeded the NCAA standards (410 pts. on 1-meter, 395 pts. on 3-meter).

Cortland will compete at the SUNYAC Championships in Buffalo Feb. 16-19.
