Coach's Corner - Comments from Cortland Head Coach Steve Patrick:
What a great way to spend a Friday night! We don't want to get too full of ourselves, but a wise coach once told me to never underestimate the value of winning. We had a very disciplined approach for both the women's and men's teams today, and the results showed it!
We had a miscue here and there, but the biggest 'negative' was the folks who weren't with us because the Friday format wasn't ideal for a couple of our folks due to academic obligations or a few who were dealing with injuries. Considering the positive performances we achieved without a few of our key runners, we're quite pleased with how things turned out. In fact, I can't pick out any individuals to highlight because of how well we did collectively!
We have a good couple of weeks of training planned before heading Rochester in September 23rd to compete at Roberts Wesleyan College.
