Kayla Campbell (Franklin/Franklin Central) added 12 points, nine rebounds and a team-high six assists as Cortland defeated visiting Buffalo State, 78-37, in a SUNYAC women's basketball contest.

Cortland improved to 14-3 overall and is 9-1 in league play, a half game behind New Paltz (10-1), which lost Tuesday to Oswego.

Sophie Bissaillon (East Greenbush/Columbia) joined Lusk and Campbell as a double-figure scorer with 11 points, including two 3-pointers.
Jackie Funk (Penfield) also made two treys and ended with eight points, three assists and three steals.
Brooke Tillotson (Marathon) totaled eight points and six rebounds and
Bella Zingoni (Kings Park/Long Island Lutheran) added five points and five rebounds.

Ashley Tucker led Buffalo State (4-13, 1-9 SUNYAC) with eight points. Adiya Jones pulled down seven rebounds.

Cortland held only a 15-12 lead after one quarter but scored 18 of the first 20 points in the second quarter and eventually led 38-18 at halftime. The Red Dragons salted the game away by outscoring the Bengals 20-3 in the third quarter. Cortland finished the game shooting 46 percent from the floor while holding Buffalo State to 26 percent accuracy.
Cortland will travel to Plattsburgh on Friday and Potsdam on Saturday for league contests.
