Dane finished second out of 28 competitors in the pole vault at the Utica College Pioneer Invitational Saturday. He cleared 4.80 meters (15' 9"), which currently is tied for ninth nationally in Division III and tied for first in the All-Atlantic Region Track and Field Conference (AARTFC). Sorensen helped Cortland finish third out of 15 schools in the final team standings at Utica.
