Dan Revai was one of the best pitchers in Cortland baseball history in addition to playing one season of varsity ice hockey. He went on to a highly successful 34-year career with The Sentry Insurance Company in Wisconsin.

* The Massena native earned a Bachelor of Science in Physical Education from Cortland in 1979.

* Four-year baseball pitcher from 1975-79 and was a goalie on Cortland's first men's ice hockey varsity team as a freshman in 1975-76.

* Career pitching totals of 22 wins, 232 strikeouts, 38 appearances and 250 and a third innings pitched were most in school history at the time of his graduation. He still ranks second at Cortland in strikeouts and innings pitched and tied for seventh in wins. Struck out 16 batters versus Hartwick in 1977 - still tied for the second highest single-game total in school history, and the most ever by a Red Dragon in a 7-inning contest.

* All-SUNYAC and First Team All-Upstate New York selection in 1977 and 1979. Finished 10-2 with a 2.05 ERA (including an 8-0 mark in SUNYAC play) in 1979 and earned the baseball team's Red Letter Award. Member of three SUNYAC championship teams (1975-76, 1976-77, 1978-79).

* Held numerous senior leadership positions during his 34-year tenure with The Sentry Insurance Company. Started as a sales representative from 1979-83, sales manager from 1983-87 and sales executive/national accounts from 1987-94.

* Became Director of Sales/National Accounts at Sentry from 1994-2001 and was Vice President National Accounts from 2002-08 as well as from 2010 until his retirement in 2014. Helped lead Sentry's National Account business unit to a level where it attained more than $1 billion in annual premium and claims revenue through relationships with more than 500 national and large regional customers, up from $65 million and 85 accounts when he first entered the business unit.

* Board member of The Community Foundation of Central Wisconsin from 2010-12, helping connect donors, non-profit organizations, professional advisers, community leaders and other partners to inspire charitable giving in Central Wisconsin. Since 2015 has been a board member of the Stevens Point Area YMCA Foundation, which provides more than 4,500 scholarships annually to help children and families in need.

* In September 2017 was one of 16 Cortland baseball alumni inducted into the inaugural "Cortland Baseball Legends Club," which recognizes the best players and contributors over more than a 60-year span in the history of the program.
