He also has officiated semi-pro and high school football, basketball, and track for 20 years.

In addition, St. Lawrence was selected a Fulbright Professor by the U.S. Department of State to lecture on education in Europe, Asia and Africa. He has served as a consultant to the minister of education in Iraq and was advisor and coach of the Iraq Olympic track and field team.

St. Lawrence is currently Rockland County Treasurer, a position he has held for more than 10 years. He also has served three terms as New York State Assemblyman and has been a Rockland County Legislator and Town of Ramapo councilman for three years.

He also is a partner in Ramapo Collectors, specializing in antiques acquisitions and sales, and is secretary for two family enterprises dealing with Harley-Davidson motorcycles and small recreational vehicles and after-market sales.

Many honors and awards have been bestowed upon St. Lawrence, including Cortland’s C-Club Hall of Fame, Rockland County Sports Hall of Fame, Rockland County Sports Record Club Award, Hudson Valley Track and Field Officials Distinguished Service Award, and the U.S. State Department Advanced American Scholar Award, to name a few.

At Cortland, St. Lawrence competed in football for four seasons and was also a member of the basketball and track teams.
