SUNY Cortland C-Club Hall of Fame
Gregory Sirico was a record-setting wide receiver for Cortland's football teams in the late 1980's and early 1990's. He's enjoyed a successful career as a teacher, coach and administrator in the Warwick Valley (N.Y.) Central School District.

* A native of Nyack and Warwick, N.Y., he earned a Bachelor of Arts in Mathematics and Physical Education from Cortland in 1991 and a Master of Science in Education, School Administration and Supervision from Iona College in 1995.

* A four-year varsity football player at Cortland from 1987-90. Registered career totals of 124 receptions for 1,592 yards and 15 touchdowns. These totals do not include his 13 catches for 183 yards and one touchdown in four NCAA playoff games (NCAA did not include postseason games in career records until 2002). At time of graduation ranked first at Cortland in career receptions, single-season receptions and receiving touchdowns, and ranked second in receiving yardage.

* Caught 55 passes for 719 yards and seven touchdowns in 1990 and became first Cortland player with 50 receptions in a season. A team captain, he earned first team All-ECAC honors and helped Cortland score a school-record 38 points per game.

* During his four years, Cortland posted a 34-9 record, including an 11-1 mark (10-0 regular season) in 1988 and 9-2 records (9-1 regular season) in 1989 and 1990. The Red Dragons advanced to the NCAA quarterfinals in 1988 and NCAA first round the next two seasons.

* Returned to his alma mater, Warwick Valley High School, as a teacher and coach in 1993. Has served as the school's director of health, physical education and athletics since 2007, and has been the head football coach from both 1996-2005 and 2013-present.

* Led Warwick Valley football to six conference titles as well as a sectional and Bowl Game title. Organizing member of the New York State High School Football Coaches Association, serving 1,200 members as President and Executive Committee Board Member.

* 2008 inductee into New York-New Jersey High School Football Coaches Hall of Fame for 12 years of service enhancing high school football in those states.

* Founder and CEO of Warwick Valley's Purple Champions Club charitable organization that has donated more than $20,000 assisting students with character education and wellness through athletic participation in youth activities and programs such as camps, scholarship and coach training.

* Co-Founder of the Wounded Warrior Challenge that raises $5,000 annually for the Wounded Warrior Project.Â
